The only possible grounds we can have for speaking of normality or abnormality... is that we have in mind something that is normal in the sense of being average...That is why the conclusions people come to are so very confused...We must refrain from jumping to conclusions and simply look at things as they are.
Rudolph Steiner, 1924
Rooted in Rudolph Steiner’s Curative Education, we strive to meet each and every child where they are developmentally and inspire the child to grow into their truest self. Steiner’s Curative Education removes the ideal of what is “normal” and helps to bring the child into balance with movement, warmth and wisdom. While labels attempt to describe a child’s learning disposition and emotional or physical needs, they sometimes serve to address symptoms rather than aiming to heal the root of the imbalance. The teacher aspires to offer avenues for healing rather than offering accommodations to “quiet” the symptoms with iIndividually-crafted lessons; assignments and expectations are designed to nurture the child’s unique intellect and character and to cultivate a sense of accomplishment. Rich in practical arts and life skills, the experience is multidimensional to educate the child as a whole. These elements of movement, warmth and wisdom serve as the scaffolding to inspire curiosity, independent thinking and a passion as lifetime learners. In this space, children imbue reverence for one another and a meaningful sense of community.

It is important that we discover an educational method where people learn to learn and go on learning their whole lives.
